HISTORY:
Founded prior to 1975, the Simcoe County Volleyball Officials Association (SCVOA) has a long-standing tradition of supporting volleyball officiating throughout Simcoe County, Georgian Bay, and the surrounding region. Guided by dedicated leaders such as Helen Wellnhofer, the Association has grown into a trusted organization representing Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) certified officials while promoting excellence, professionalism, and integrity in the sport.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The SCVOA is committed to recruiting, supporting, and developing certified volleyball officials by fostering engagement, mentorship, and continuous learning at every stage of an official's career. The Association coordinates officiating assignments for schools and community leagues, provides development opportunities and resources, and ensures its members meet all OVA certification and Safe Sport requirements. Through these efforts, SCVOA promotes fair, knowledgeable, and professional officiating while serving the volleyball community with excellence and integrity.
